1. Our accountability

DURbe Solutions Inc. (“DURBE,” “we,” “our” or “us”) is responsible for personal information under its control. Our Privacy Officer oversees compliance with this statement and applicable Canadian privacy requirements, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”), where applicable.

2. Information we may collect

We may collect information that you provide directly, including your name, business contact information, employer or organization, project or asset details, enquiry content, documents you choose to provide, and records of our communications. We may also collect limited technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, referral source, security events and cookie preferences.

Please do not submit confidential, proprietary or sensitive project information through the website unless we have agreed on an appropriate secure method or confidentiality arrangement.

3. Why we use information

• To respond to enquiries and assess potential projects;
• To communicate with clients, consultants, contractors and business partners;
• To prepare proposals and administer contractual relationships;
• To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website;
• To maintain appropriate business and project records;

Optional analytics or similar technologies will remain disabled unless activated in accordance with the consent requirements that apply. You may choose “Essential only” in the cookie notice. Browser settings may also allow you to delete or block stored information, although some site functions may then operate differently.

6. When information may be shared

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to service providers that support website hosting, email, security, analytics, document management or professional services; to advisers, insurers or counterparties where reasonably necessary for a project or transaction; or where required or permitted by law. Service providers are authorized to use personal information only for the services they perform for us, subject to appropriate protections.

7. Processing outside Canada

Some service providers may process or store information outside Ontario or Canada. In those circumstances, information may be subject to the laws and lawful-access requirements of the jurisdiction where it is processed. We remain accountable for personal information transferred to a service provider for processing and use contractual or other measures appropriate to the circumstances.

8. Safeguards

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity, amount, format and location of the information. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the identified purposes and applicable legal, contractual, insurance and recordkeeping requirements. Information that is no longer required is securely destroyed, deleted or anonymized, subject to backup and legal-hold limitations.

10. Access and correction

You may request access to personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete, subject to exceptions permitted by law. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

11. Children

This business-to-business website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from children through it.

12. Changes to this statement

We may update this statement to reflect changes in our practices, services or legal obligations. The effective date above will identify the current version. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate.

13. Questions, requests or complaints

Contact our Privacy Officer if you have a question, wish to exercise a privacy right or want to make a complaint. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable period.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, where it has jurisdiction.
